Hon. Justice Obande Festus Ogbuinya, JSC, CON accepts to be the Keynote Speaker for the 2024 Law Week of NBA Yenagoa Branch


 
Hon. Justice Obande Festus Ogbuinya, JSC, CON has accepted the invitation by NBA Yenagoa Branch to deliver the keynote address at the Plenary Session scheduled to hold on Friday, the 28th of June, 2024 at the DSP Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. 

Hon. Justice Ogbuinya, JSC, CON would deliver a speech on the topic: “The Legal Profession in a time of socio-economic uncertainty”

The Plenary Session of the Law Week of NBA Yenagoa has received lectures from Hon. Justice C. C. Nweze, JSC, Hon. Justice Emmanuel Agim, JSC, Hon. Justice B. A. Georgewill, JCA, Prof. Mike Ozekhome, SAN in the past, wherein issues pertaining to the legal profession were discussed and solutions preferred. 

Justice Ogbuinya, JSC is a highly regarded jurist; renowned for deep intellect, masterly use of English Language and industry. 

Born on 16th June, 1965, Justice Ogbuinya hails from Umuogudu Akpu Ngbo in Ohaukwu LGA of Ebonyi State and began his educational career at the State Primary School, Oriaja, Ngbo and his secondary education at the Uga Boys’ Secondary School, UGA, Anambra State.

With a Bachelor of Law degree at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus in 1988, Justice Ogbuinya proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus for his BL in 1989.

Appointed as a Judge of the High Court of Ebonyi State on 21st May 2002, Justice Ogbuinya was elevated to the Court of Appeal on 30th November 2010 before his appointment as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2024.
